Dropped calls is a feature of the iphone... enjoy ;)
I live in toronto, canada, and here the service is great. We've had MMS since day 1 as well as tethering. Its all lightning fast. Basically no dropped calls and issues like that, but we do pay a small premium.

The US courts are pro Apple.
um. Huh? They don't seem to be winning much in the U.S. What is the source of your conjecture?

The mighty mouse is a great mouse. The only thing I dislike about it is the way the scroll wheel sticks. My wife doesn't like the squeeze buttons on the side, but I think they work great. I guess it's all a matter of preference. If they fix the scrolling wheel problem on the new one's I would definitely buy one. I've found though that cleaning the scroll wheel with rubbing alchohol several times in a row will take care of the sticking problem.
BEWARE: I use to do this too, and my "press-the-scroll-ball-and-click-the-mouse" 3rd button ceased to work right after one of those cleaning sessions. I don't know if the two events were related, but I tend to believe they were  . I might have used too much alcohol that time, though... :o [*rubbing* alcohol, don't get me wrong :p ]

smug free screen? Apple will never eliminate smugness in its products! :)
happy former owner of a 27" i7 imac that was stolen last month. Looking forward to replacing it with this new one.
I saw and got my hands on a possible prototype IMac that had a touchable screen and a smug free screen. It also had the earlier uncoded virtual keyboard in the Lion OS. though it was only a prototype but a very realistic one for production. I believe it to be the IMac I and my father both got our hands on earlier this year.:apple:

Great to see another virtual machine app for osx/intel. I can't wait to get my hands on one and try all this new fun stuff out! I feel so left out.
...i'd install avid in parallels. ... more features quicker.
OMG! Avid in a virtual machine? I doubt, and I know I'm old and cranky, that Avid will ever work convincingly in a VM environment. Bootcamp hopefully one day.

And that's what bugs me. That's the only time I can think of on TV where they actually pulled a switcheroo instead of having the character killed or sending him or her on a long trip to visit Aunt Edna in Schenectady.
Walt, from Lost, too.
I don't see the appeal of 2 and a Half Men too, or How I Met Your Mother. I honestly don't get it :p. Maybe I'm spoiled with stuff like Darkplace, Partridge, Peep Show etc.

One thing I want is a new phone, my old one's battery is so crappy it lasts for a couple of hours and than it starts beeping to signal that the battery is dead. Very annoying.

6970!? Yes!They are the Mobility versions. That would be the HD 6570 to the HD 6850 on the desktop side. Also, they admit mobility graphics.

Surely by now there is someone out there with a White iPhone, a messuring tape or calipers that can just tell us these photos are nonsense? Please? Pretty please? Xxx
Yes, everyone carries calipers or measuring tape with them everywhere. Get a grip already.

That's terrible. I use a computer because I don't want to use paper. And I don't want to see paper on my computer screen. Bone-heads. Need to get rid of these old paper-centric fogies at Apple.

But you're dealing with Apple customers, they sacrifice themselves for the good of the company.
Yes, Apple tricks everyone into loving them. That's what is happening; it couldn't be their focus on creating products that people love. Nope.

I am not too keen on this "cartoony" 3D effect Apple seem to be going for.
Torn off pages… faux-leather binding… I mean doesn't anyone else think it is a bit corny?
It really does seems as if the cutesyeness of the iOS is spreading over to OSX.
I'd prefer a clean modern OS with usability first and foremost.
Screw the gratuitous eyecandy…
Wow. I thought I was the only one-nice to see that at least one other person feels the same way.

anything for macbooks? please?
What I'd like is the base MacBook to drop to $999 and the base mini to drop to $499. That's what the G4 versions cost before they were replaced by the Intel versions.

I'll say this one last time. Flash is not an app! It's a method of delivering content on a web site. You cannot make iOS "apps" to replace a web page dude. As long as there are Flash only web sites, there will be a demand for Flash plugins. This Skyfire app is proof of that. I won't bother arguing anymore about the other things as it's a complete waste of my time.
In Ios perhaps... But in Android Market it is.

I guess I have the opposite view of this since I will buy from iTunes as long as they continue to provide a lossless format--and Amazon provides only a lossy format. That is more important to me than a slight price difference. AAC plays on anything I need to play it on--and it could be converted to another lossless format such as FLAC if you really wanted to get out from under Apple's proprietary format. I am also a huge Amazon fan and a Prime member and buy a lot of stuff from them--but not MP3s.
Umm Apple formate they sell in is still a lossy formate...... So much for that reasoning.
