After Jobs walks out, but before he starts the Keynote. Someone should ask Steve to empty his pockets. First the mini, then the nano, this time should be the Video iPod. I am hoping for a couple more things this Keynote.

That actually isn't surprising. I've noticed that all of the aftermarket "OEM" white based replacement backplates (any using the white housing for colored glass...yellow, all the whites, green) are always just slightly thicker and can prevent tighter fitting cases from going on the phone. I always just chalked it up to aftermarket parts not being as exact as genuine Apple parts, but now it seems like it's actually a legitimate difference.

No 512GB SSD option. I would've gladly paid the premium for it (+$1200 instead of +$750), considering how much of a PITA it is to get at that (full logic board removal).
Choosing any SSD brings shipping time up from 1-3 days to 4-6 weeks.

True, long term it is a good plan. Though it looks like since the announcement that new phones becoming available on t-mobile have 850/1900 as well as 1700. Looks like it part of their plan to get devices out to t-mobile users that can work on both networks to be ready for this type of change.
Anyway, regardless of the buy out or not, once exclusivity ended it was only a matter of time before Apple added more bands to the iPhone. The qualcomm chip they use now supports all these bands anyway.
myTouch 4G has Band (frequency):850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS: Band IV (1700/2100)

I would argue that accepting a lifestyle that has a much higher likelihood of illness or death doesn't necessarily mean mental illness. What about adventure seekers? Is climbing Everest a sign of mental illness? The likelihood of dying is high, and honestly, some would say that you have to be crazy to do it, but people still praise the behavior, and don't label the person with a mental illness.
Guys, it really is possible that she just LOVES food. I've met people like that. They are great chefs and are very over weight because they love food. Not because they have some kind of mental deficiency.
Humans function on a reward system. You may climb Everest because of the personal accomplishment or the rush. Eating to the degree of excess that lady has is far more than a love of food. There is no potential gain and she knows she is hurting herself, but does not care. She is pursuing a goal that conflicts with 'logical reasoning'. If you look at people who are class III obese, you will see a few things. First, depression and suicide rates are ridiculously high. Two, almost all want to lose weight. Three, there are often underlying conditions.
Obesity needs to be treated as a mental illness as well as physical illness/condition. Much of losing weight and keeping it off is psychological. The self-rated quality of life of obese children are literally worse than terminal cancer patients. Not everyone who is obese has a mental illness, but when people get to extreme obesity, there is almost always an existing condition or one has developed from a negative self-image.

To everyone else here.. it's a mock-up, which means it's not real. I think we all know Apple wouldn't release one that looks like the mock-up.The iPad 2 says you're wrong.

if MS makes it cheaper than an iPod then Apple might have some trouble. Parents/grandparents who are technologically ignorant will generally buy whatever Bestbuy salesman pimps to them for their kid. So if it is cheaper than an iPod with similar functions then a lot will be bought.
I think people are very wrong here.
iPod is the cool thing. It is the brand name. It is what everyone asks for, even if they're using a generic term.
If you have an identical iPod and identical Microsoft brand side by side, people will go for the iPod, because it is the standard they are comfortable with. Even my grandparents konw what an iPod is. It is the Windows / MS Office of the music player world.
I know its a hard thing to wrap our minds around, but in this particular space, Apple is the established gorilla and everyone has to fight for the extra mindshare. People gravitate to the iPod, and will look at an MS offering with suspicion. "What does Microsoft have to do with Music? Aren't they a computer company?"

The design, print, packaging, promo, photographic and fashion industry is overwhelmingly Mac-based.
Saying 'period' at the end of a sentence doesn't make it correct. Nor does one campus switching to PCs make it a summer. ;)
